On her work:"Although my pastels ultimately reflect the color, the design and the subtle forms of nature, I build these effects on solid, formally precise drawings which reflect my background in textile painting, learned
at the Fashion Institute of  Technology. In the past five years, by reading and taking workshops with reknowned artists, I have been accepted and won awards as well as memberships in pastel societies
throughout the States, as well as in the American Impressionist Society, where I have won Honorable
Mentions for the past two years.

In 2006 I won the first scholarship award given by the International Pastel Societies and Urania, Christy
Tarbet. At the annual paintout in Princeton, N.J., I not only sold my painting, but won first prize for a pastel
painting.
